Job summary

West Valley School District #363 in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking an ECEAP 3rd – ECEAP Paraeducator to support early learning.

The role supports the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities, follows ECEAP standards, and works 191 days/year with a 6-hour day schedule. Pay aligns with the Level 5 Paraeducator on the SNAP Salary Schedule and arrangements are made in collaboration with the Special Services team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; AND one of: Associate Arts or higher degree, OR 72 quarter credits (48 semester credits), OR pass an academically rigorous assessment.
• TB skin test or proof of prior negative TB test, or equivalent clearance.
• Valid food handler's permit issued by Spokane County Health District.
• Immunizations as required by district policy.
• Successful fingerprint clearance (WA State Patrol + FBI).
• I-9 Employment Eligibility verification as per law.
• Completion of district-required training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in daily classroom program and ensure safety of all students.
• Prepare and organize classroom materials for developmentally appropriate activities.
• Follow ECEAP performance standards and use TSG curriculum.
• Supervise meals and maintain classroom cleanliness and sanitation.
• Document student development and communicate with direct service team.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings.

Education

AA degree in Early Childhood Education

First aid and CPR certification
