Job summary

Second Presbyterian Church seeks a Director for Children's Circle Preschool to design, staff, oversee, and run daily operations of CCP. You report to the Associate Pastor of Children and Family Ministries, developing long-range plans and implementing strategies to strengthen the program.

The preschool is a weekday, developmentally appropriate, Christian program that nurtures the whole child in a warm, safe, creative environment, modeling Christian values and engaging families through strong

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Education, Elementary or Early Childhood Development; MA or MS preferred.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience; prior admin/ supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with state standards in early childhood education.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficiency in necessary computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop CCP staff, implementing a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Set performance expectations, observe classrooms, conduct reviews, provide feedback.
• Engage CCP families regularly; communicate via newsletters and email; connect families to resources.
• Ensure safety and security; schedule drills; maintain spaces; stay updated on licensing.
• Prepare and manage an annual budget; handle accounts receivable/payable.
• Coordinate with Second Presbyterian Church groups to share spaces and promote events.
