Responsibilities
- Prepare all meals and snacks following issued menus and directives.
- Keep accurate records including inventory and production records.
- Comply with all Center regulations, guidelines, and all regulatory agency requirements.
- Wash kitchenware and tableware.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and appliances.
- Complete food orders and grocery shopping as needed.
- Inventory food supplies and report needs to the Associate Director.
- Report maintenance or non-food supply needs.
- Assist with ordering supplies if requested.
- Properly store and date all food items at correct temperatures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in food service and/or nutrition.
- Preferred: five years of professional experience in food service and/or nutrition.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Good personal hygiene and grooming.
- Ability to bend and perform finger dexterity tasks.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in all documents and verbally.
- Remain calm in crisis situations.
