Job summary

Community Action For Improvement Inc. is seeking a Program Aide at Franklin Head Start in Franklin, GA to support classroom activities, the kitchen, and bus services while performing light cleaning duties.

The role reports to the Center Manager and classroom teacher, and focuses on assisting with developing children and children with special needs. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, experience with preschoolers, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Capable of interacting with preschool children and maintaining safety.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom behavior management.
• CPR and First Aid certification or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff in activities, field trips, and outdoor lessons.
• Help develop materials and activities reflecting cultural backgrounds.
• Supervise mealtime to promote nutrition and social skills.
• Keep classroom clean and orderly; support teacher as needed.
• Serve as substitute in absence of assistants or other staff.
• Perform similar duties as assigned.
