Job summary

Cadence Education in Albertville, MN is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs under supervision. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and assist with individualized needs, including IEPs, while ensuring licensing compliance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety procedures, and effective communication with families, with opportunities for CDA-related development and tuition benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Must meet minimum experience and education requirements for the state of employment.
• Prior early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• Must meet all state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
• CDA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and help build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including following IEPs.
• Support classroom staff with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, documenting accidents and incidents as required.
• Assist with managing, documenting, and reporting escalated child behaviors.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.
