Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a dependable Teacher’s Aide to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. The starting rate is $14 per hour and schedules run Monday–Friday, 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

You will assist teachers with activities, supervise children, help with records, and engage families. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.

You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting Rate: $14 per hour

Physical Demands
