Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms at our Hamlet location in Richmond County, NC.

You will support daily activities, supervise children, help with classroom organization, and engage families as part of a collaborative education team. The starting rate is $14 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule (6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm, 40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• EDU 119 or CDA credential preferred.
• Experience with young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children's developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.
• Support family engagement and communication.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.

You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting Rate: $14 per hour
