Job summary

Family & Child Empowerment Services (FACES) in San Francisco is seeking a Preschool Site Supervisor to manage the daily operation of the Bayview Center, maintain professional relations with students, families and staff, and ensure compliance with licensing and testing procedures.

The role emphasizes staff development, program planning, and collaboration with other programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Child Development, it offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold or qualify for the California Child Development Site Supervisor permit.
• Three plus years managing a child development center.
• Three plus years managing staff.
• Five years classroom experience in ECE setting.
• Experience with state or federally funded child care programs preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet fingerprint clearance, TB test, First Aid, CPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Center.
• Supervise and develop Preschool staff, schedule time sheets, vacations, and leave.
• Monitor assessments and screenings (ITERS, ECERS, DRDPs, ASQ, CLASS).
• Ensure compliance with licensing, Title 5 and Title 22 regulations.
• Build positive relationships with parents/guardians and children; meet cultural needs.
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and staff development in collaboration with Bayview site supervisor and Senior Director.
• Coordinate with other programs and organizations; ensure center documentation is up to date.
