Job summary

Peninsula Family Service in South San Francisco seeks a Site Manager to oversee center operations, compliance systems, and instructional leadership in a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Early Learning and supports family engagement and staff development.

This exempt position requires a California Site Supervisor Permit, 6+ supervision units, a BA in Child Development or ECE, and 1–5 years of licensed childcare

Qualifications

• Site Supervisor Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• 6+ adult supervision units.
• BA degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field.
• 350 days of experience.
• 1–5 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom leadership and mentor staff on curriculum fidelity.
• Lead data-driven instructional planning and observations.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, Head Start, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and child portfolios.
• Establish positive relationships with families and conduct conferences.
• Oversee staffing, schedules, ratio, and site operations.
• Support transition planning and inclusion efforts.
• Lead site-level internal compliance audits and documentation.
