Family and Child Empowerment Services (FACES) seeks a Lead Preschool Teacher for our Bayview and Masonic sites as we open a new location. You will oversee classroom management, plan lessons, ensure safety, and foster positive relationships with families, caregivers and staff.
You will lead a teaching team, mentor colleagues, maintain licensing standards, and support children's social-emotional, language, literacy and cognitive development.

The Lead Preschool Teacher is passionate about early childhood education, kids in general and works in a supportive and collegiate environment where you can make a difference. The Lead Teacher is responsible for overall classroom management, including lesson planning, safety protocol and maintaining positive, professional relationships with parents/caregivers. This is a full time, non-exempt position and reports directly to the Site Supervisor.
You have a solid mix of the following knowledge, ability, skills and experience:
Maintain California Child Development Teacher Permit or Higher
Two (2) + years classroom experience in ECE setting
Experience with State and Federally funded child care programs (preferred)
Demonstrated commitment to working with families from marginalized communities
Ability to work cooperatively as a part of an interdisciplinary team, as well as the ability to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative and enthusiasm
Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, self-motivation and reliability are essential
Work cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team using effective and compassionate communication
Demonstrates the ability to meet required state, federal, local, and FACES SF standards (including but not limited to fingerprint clearance, negative TB test, First Aid, CPR)
Lift up to 50lbs

Annual salary between $36.00 – $47.60 based on experience
