Starting immediately, this part-time position offers $16.96 per hour, earned sick time, and participation in the State of Michigan retirement program.

Qualifications

• Preferably has some experience working with children.
• Create and maintain a safe and positive learning environment focused on a sense of belonging within the classroom.
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities.
• Team player who is able to multitask and prioritize.
• Navigate some technology.
• Some English-speaking skills. Bilingual skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides breaks for teachers in the classroom setting, in a high-quality preschool program that complies with the requirements of the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) grant.
