Kent ISD's Great Start Readiness Program seeks an Associate Teacher for the 2026-27 school year in Grand Rapids, MI. 172 days/year, 35 hours/week across multiple sites. Immediate starting date with strong emphasis on early childhood education and family partnerships.

Minimum requirements include an AA in ECE or CDA, or willingness to pursue CDA/AA within two years; CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Collaboration with lead teachers is essential for program success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification required by state licensing.
• Willingness to obtain CDA or AA in ECE/child development within two years.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate developmentally appropriate learning activities for preschool.
• Assist lead teacher with weekly lesson plans and Connect4Learning curriculum fidelity.
• Collect and review child assessment data for individualized instruction.
• Attend home visits, conferences, family events, and advisory meetings.
• Partner with families and staff to support student growth.
