Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
• Associate Teacher Permit required.
• At least three (3) units in Infant and Toddler coursework.
• Six months experience in a licensed preschool facility.
• CPR/ Pediatric First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing weekly lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Recruit families for the program as required by standards.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant learning environment for children.
• Screen children using appropriate assessment tools and translate into lesson plans.
• Support development of Individual Education Plans for children with special needs.
• Prepare monthly reports on attendance, meals, and health checks.
• Complete documentation such as anecdotal notes, conferences, and planning agendas.
• Model daily routines (hygiene, meals) and ensure classroom safety.
• Provide emotional support and encourage self-esteem in children.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
