Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support a Certified Teacher in delivering meaningful, sustainable learning experiences. The role emphasizes safety, organized classrooms, and building respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Located at our Middletown, CT location, the role operates year-round, Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM, with a focus on nurturing, ecosystem-friendly education and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with young children in childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standard.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Teacher by implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor experiences.
• Engage families with sustainable communication practices and events.
• Attend required training and collaborate to enhance classroom systems and sustainability initiatives.
