Job summary

Ivy Kids is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a safe, nurturing classroom environment. You will help implement curriculum activities, supervise daily routines, monitor development, and maintain records while upholding licensing standards and Ivy Kids policies.

You will foster positive social and emotional growth, communicate with families, and participate in staff training and center events as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum activities and classroom routines.
• Monitor developmental progress and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure health, safety and licensing compliance in the classroom.
• Provide daily communication to parents and contribute to positive relationships with families.
