Job summary

The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium is seeking a dedicated Educational Aide or Teacher Assistant. This full-time position supports the Head Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum for preschool children according to state and Head Start standards.

A valid CDA or an associate or baccalaureate degree is required, along with experience in preschool settings. The role involves significant interaction with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDA required or active enrollment in a CDA credential program.
• 1 year of preschool classroom experience preferred.
• Understanding of child development principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate practice.
• Maintain accurate and organized child/family records.
• Support children in daily activities and classroom management.

Skills

Working knowledge of typical behaviors/expectations of three-four-year-old children

Ability to manage a classroom
