Job summary

Save the Children US is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support preschool instruction in the Head Start program in Mamou, LA. You will assist the Teacher in daily classroom operations and help create a nurturing, safe learning environment for children aged in the Head Start setting.

You will engage families, support developmentally appropriate activities, and participate in meetings and trainings to uphold program quality and compliance with Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start program.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Start Teacher in daily classroom operations.
