Job summary

CAIRO Academy in Beaverton, OR, is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support daily classroom operations and curriculum delivery within a collaborative teaching team. You will apply knowledge of child development to foster a safe, engaging learning environment and maintain communication with children and families.

You may step in to assume Lead Teacher responsibilities as needed. These roles require comfort with duties such as administering medications per RN training and meeting Oregon regulatory

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of verified experience with children ages 3–5 in a certified childcare center.
• Minimum age 18 and ORO Step 6.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; physical requirements.
• Enrollment in Oregon's Central Background Registry.

Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom operations and curriculum delivery.
• Assist Lead Teacher with family engagement and communication.
• Step in as Lead Teacher when needed.
• Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
