Job summary

CAIRO Academy in Oregon seeks a Classroom Aide to support Lead and Assistant Teachers with daily activities and curriculum delivery. You’ll help foster a safe, stimulating preschool environment where children engage and grow.

You will communicate with children and adults, collaborate with a teaching team, and cover Assistant Teacher duties when they are away. Strong English skills and willingness to travel between CAIRO sites are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and must meet Oregon background registry requirements.
• At least 1 year of verified experience in a certified childcare center (3–5).
• Experience in inclusive settings supporting varying support needs.
• At least 240 documented hours as an Aide I or Aide II.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead/Assistant Teachers with daily activities and curriculum delivery.
• Maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment for preschoolers.
• Support teachers and address parent/guardian concerns; substitute when needed.
