Camp Jewell, Ellington, CT, seeks a part-time Assistant Teacher to support the Preschool program under the Head Teacher and Child Development Director. Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECE development and CT standards.
• Warm and nurturing personality.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
• Must be able to work in a preschool classroom and support in daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in daily classroom supervision, including outdoor play.
• Promote an inclusive, anti-racist culture and a brave, respectful environment.
• Assist in curriculum creation and implementation; submit forms and reports on time.
• Use child development knowledge to assess and plan for individual children.
• Supervise parents and classroom visitors.
• Assist with safety drills and daily program logistics (attendance, lunch counts).
• Maintain materials, logs, and storage in a neat, safe manner.
• Uphold YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
