Job summary

Little Cubs Early Learning Center in Greenwich, CT is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support daily classroom activities under the supervision of the Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about childcare and contribute to children's social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities include assisting in planning educational activities, maintaining a clean, safe classroom, helping with hygiene needs, and reporting health or behavior concerns to the lead

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 540 hours of experience with children.
• At least 1 year of experience in an early childhood classroom.
• Active and up-to-date certifications in first aid, CPR, medical, and EpiPen.

Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom activities and care for children.
• Assist lead teacher in creating a nurturing environment.
• Assist in planning and implementing educational activities.
• Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Report health, behaviour, or learning issues to the lead teacher.
• Ensure safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Adhere to Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework and curriculum.
