Job summary

Cadence Education in Randolph, NJ seeks a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support a safe, nurturing classroom where every child is respected and engaged.

You will assist with developmentally appropriate activities, follow IEPs and behavior plans, and partner with Lead Teachers to implement Cadence Signature Programs. Strong communication with families is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to consistently follow safety procedures including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle-feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment with care and dignity for every child.
• Greet children and families daily and help build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including following IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents as required.
• Assist with managing, documenting, and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development which may occur outside regular hours.
