Our client in Harrison, NJ is seeking an energetic and organized Assistant Director for a premier preschool. The role involves supporting the Center Director, driving enrollment growth, coaching teachers, and ensuring compliance with state licensing and safety standards.

This full-time, year-round position requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, plus 2 years of teaching and 1 year of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field; if degree is not in a related field, at least 15 ECE credits are required.
• At least 2 years of Early Childhood Education (birth to 5 years) teaching experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership/management experience in ECE.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and pass background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic support to the Director, grow enrollment, attract and retain teachers, and build strong community relations.
• Ensure compliance with state safety, fire, quality programming, and licensing regulations as required by NJSDCF.
• Ensure center meets licensing and safety standards while upholding core values (Safety, Courtesy, Education, Efficiency).
• Motivate, coach and train teachers to deliver creative programs and service excellence.
• Assist in the classrooms as needed.

Job Responsibilities – Assist the Center Director with the following:
