Job summary

Hopkins House seeks an Apprentice Teacher to assist the Teacher in coordinating and implementing daily preschool activities. The role supports a safe, engaging classroom environment for young learners.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and prior experience with young children, such as summer camp. Within 120 days of hire, enrollment in the ECLI to obtain a CDA is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children, e.g., summer camp.
• Enroll in the Hopkins House Early Childhood Learning Institute (ECLI) within 120 days to obtain a CDA.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining safe and clean classroom environment;
• Assists in the supervision of children in the classroom;
• Participates in all classroom and school related activities;
• Keeps the Lead Teacher informed regarding classroom activities and events;
• Able to work a flexible schedule;
• Provides such other related duties as may be assigned.
