Preschool Teacher (Full or Part Time)

Location: 0032 St. Therese Parish, Seattle, WA 98122

Salary Range: $37,000.00 – $47,000.00 per year

This position is for the 2026-27 school year. STCA seeks a full‑time or part‑time Preschool Assistant teacher who will assist with teaching preschool grade content. Specific assignments for additional time will be determined based on school needs and candidate strengths, such as summer preschool programming.

STCA is a Preschool‑8th grade Catholic elementary school in the heart of the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, just 2 miles east of downtown. The school currently serves 150 students ages 3‑14, 35% of whom receive free or reduced lunch. Over 60% of families receive tuition assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead teacher in delivering preschool curriculum and instruction.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Understanding and genuine appreciation of children.
• Desire to work in a racially and economically diverse, faith‑centered community.

Pre‑Service and Hiring Requirements:

• Background Check.
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test.

Training

• Child Care Basics

In‑Service Training

• 10‑Hour Annual In‑Service Training
• Enhancing Quality of Early Learning (EQEL Year 1 and 2)

Education

• WA State ECE Initial Certificate (12 credits) or equivalent.
• Full Education: Timeline from Date of Hire or Promotion – 5 years.
