Preschool Teacher (Full or Part Time)

Location: 0032 St. Therese Parish, Seattle, WA 98122

Salary Range: $37,000.00 – $47,000.00 per year

This position is for the 2026-27 school year. STCA seeks a full‑time or part‑time Preschool Assistant teacher who will assist with teaching preschool grade content. Specific assignments for additional time will be determined based on school needs and candidate strengths, such as summer preschool programming.

STCA is a Preschool‑8th grade Catholic elementary school in the heart of the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, just 2 miles east of downtown. The school currently serves 150 students ages 3‑14, 35% of whom receive free or reduced lunch. Over 60% of families receive tuition assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead teacher in delivering preschool curriculum and instruction.
• Support students in developing a love of math, reading, and faith through stories and play.
• Collaborate with the PLC process and implement creative classroom ideas.
• Assist with additional duties such as summer programming as required.
• Model professional practice and foster a diverse, Catholic learning community.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Understanding and genuine appreciation of children.

Pre‑Service and Hiring Requirements:
