Job summary

Lantern Learning Group is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to guide families through the enrollment process, from inquiry to enrollment, across multiple schools. You will manage inquiries, tours, applications, and enrollment activity in our systems, maintaining accurate records and delivering timely updates to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Two or more years in admissions, enrollment management, customer service, sales, hospitality, education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working directly with families, customers, or clients in a relationship-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families via phone, email, and other communication channels
• Guide families through the admissions and enrollment process, explaining programs, tuition, availability, and enrollment requirements
• Build relationships with prospective families through consistent follow-up and personalized communication
• Ensure a positive experience from inquiry through enrollment
• Manage inquiries, tours, applications, and enrollment activity within company systems and databases
• Maintain accurate records related to classroom availability, waitlists, and enrollment status
• Monitor admissions activity and provide regular updates on enrollment progress and trends
• Support school and organizational enrollment goals
• Coordinate school tours, open houses, and enrollment events with School Directors and regional leaders
• Collaborate with school leadership to introduce prospective families to each school community
• Partner with operations, marketing, and school leaders to increase enrollment and improve the family experience
• Participate in meetings covering admissions performance, market conditions, family feedback, and strategic initiatives
• Support community outreach, local events, and marketing initiatives
• Represent Lantern Learning Group at events and community engagements

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, customer service, sales, hospitality, education, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working directly with families, customers, or clients in a relationship-driven environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and enrollment management platforms
  • Knowledge of early childhood education and the competitive school market is a plus
  • Passion for helping families find the best educational experience for their child
  • Frequent speaking, listening, computer use, and extended screen time
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for event setup and marketing materials
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally outside the immediate area for training, meetings, and organizational events
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support school events and enrollment initiatives
