Job summary

Midea America Corp. is seeking an experienced technical support engineer for data center cooling solutions in the U.S.

You will provide pre-sales technical support for overseas data center key accounts, collaborate with KAMs to drive opportunities, and deliver cooling solutions including chillers, air-cooled and liquid cooling systems. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, automation, or related engineering fields preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical support experience in data centers, HVAC, central cooling plants, or related industries.
  • Familiar with data center cooling architectures and mainstream cooling technologies (air, water, liquid, free cooling).
  • Experience with high-density racks, AI data centers, liquid cooling infrastructure, and GPU clustering preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to coordinate with sales, product, delivery, and customer teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for overseas data center key accounts; collaborate with KAMs to drive key customers, projects, and opportunities to closure.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer requirements; deliver technical exchanges, solution matching, product selection, configuration recommendations, and clarifications.
  • Support primary-side and secondary-side cooling solutions including chillers, air-cooled, liquid cooling CDU, air walls, and precision air conditioning across applications.
  • Participate in customer solution presentations, bid support, technical bid preparation, and coordination with consultants/EPCs.
  • Understand data center requirements including power density, redundancy tiers, energy efficiency, and cooling configurations; assist in developing customer-facing solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, R&D, delivery, and after-sales teams to drive project coordination from pre-sales to execution.
  • Consolidate standard solutions and best practices based on customer projects to support platform expansion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support for overseas data center key accounts; collaborate with KAM to drive key customers, key projects, and key industry opportunities to closure.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer requirements; deliver technical exchanges, solution matching, product selection, configuration recommendations, and technical clarifications.
  • Provide technical support for primary-side and secondary-side thermal management products, including chillers, air-cooled solutions, liquid cooling CDU, air walls, and precision air conditioning across various application scenarios.
  • Participate in key customer solution presentations, bid support, technical bid preparation, customer Q&A, and technical coordination with consultants/EPCs.
  • Understand core data center requirements including power density, redundancy tiers, energy efficiency, liquid/air cooling configurations, and reliability; assist in developing customer-facing solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, R&D, delivery, and after-sales teams to drive the closed-loop coordination of key projects from pre-sales support to execution.
  • Based on customer projects, consolidate standard solutions, typical application cases, and competitor technical intelligence to support platform business expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above; HVAC, Refrigeration & Cryogenic Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related majors preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical support experience in data centers, HVAC, central cooling plants, liquid cooling, or related industries.
  • Familiar with data center cooling system architecture; understand mainstream technology routes including air cooling, water cooling, liquid cooling, and free cooling.
  • Prior experience with high-density racks, AI data centers, liquid cooling infrastructure, and GPU cluster cooling requirements preferred.
  • Ability to independently conduct customer needs analysis, technical solution development, technical presentations, and basic configuration selection.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work effectively with sales, product, delivery, and customer technical teams.
  • English as a working language; able to support overseas customer communication, technical documentation, and cross-regional project coordination; local hire overseas or willing to travel internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Hyperscaler, Colo, AI data center, or ICT infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience supporting integrated primary-side and secondary-side solutions.
  • Prior experience providing technical support to consultants, EPCs, general contractors, or large system integrators.
  • Prior experience with liquid cooling, CDU, air walls, precision air conditioning, or large-scale cooling plants.
