Digital Pre Press/Letter Operator

Qualifications and Responsibilities Include

• Seeking an individual with 3+ years experience in direct mail/print production.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Pitstop/Neo, MS Office, and Acrobat workflows.
• NOT a design position, strictly prepping files for print.
• Must have the ability to translate Mac and PC In Design/Creative Cloud projects into Quadient (GMC) Inspire workflows.
• Must be comfortable with advanced layouts with variable and transactional data.
• Must have working knowledge of printed products and processes.
• Knowledge of pre-flighting files and trapping process work is key.
• Capable of creating a workable WFD file from a complex InDesign project, and an InDesign file that is not only full of moving parts, but may involve conventional printing as well.
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be able to work with customers, understand instructions, enter orders and traffic multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to recognize and balance client needs for quality, schedule/on time delivery and budget.

Requirements

Enhanced Qualifications

• Experience in Direct Mail production.
• Should have practical command of tables, position scripting, and be familiar with banking and insurance work.
• This role needs someone experienced with dynamic layouts, and adapting designs originally developed for the web to print.
