Job summary

YARZIN SELLA High-End Food Services in the Augusta, GA Metro Area is hiring a full-time Prep Cook/Dishwasher. This role offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekends and no late nights, and guarantees 40 hours per week.

You'll read and scale recipes, prepare and cook items to standards, operate kitchen equipment safely, and maintain clean work areas while supporting the Chef team. Prior culinary experience and ServSafe is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of related culinary experience
• ServSafe or equivalent Food Handler's License
• Stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and scale recipes and prep sheets
• Prepare, assemble, and cook items to established standards
• Perform knife cuts with precision and complete general prep tasks
• Prepare ingredients for service including vegetables, proteins, sauces
• Operate ovens, prep equipment, and dish machines safely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; manage waste and floors
• Keep dish pit clean and transport clean dishes to line/storage
• Complete daily food safety logs and coordinate with Chef team

Pay: $19–$20/hour, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday (No weekends, no late nights)

What You’ll Do

• Accurately read, interpret, and scale recipes and prep sheets
• Prepare, assemble, and cook items to established standards
• Perform knife cuts with precision (slicing, dicing, chopping) and complete general prep tasks
• Prepare ingredients and components for service (vegetables, proteins, sauces, dressings, portion packs)
• Safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, prep equipment, and dish machines
• Maintain cleanliness: sort and remove trash, fill/empty soak tubs, sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour
• Keep the dish pit clean and transport clean dishes to the cook's line and storage areas
• Complete daily food safety logs related to dishwashing and sanitation
• Work closely with the Chef team and communicate needs clearly (inventory, quality, equipment)

Requirements

• Able to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
