Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking team members to support Prepared Foods production, labeling, and rotation while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. You will help customers compare products, keep walk-ins/freezers organized, and follow health and safety standards.

You will participate in opening/closing duties and collaborate to maintain a clean, well‑stocked department. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is valued to meet store needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures product production follows recipes and uses correct measuring devices.
• Helps customers understand differences between WFM products and conventional stores.
• Maintains clean walk-ins and freezers.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures: Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, and safety.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment; equipment upkeep.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; checks signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
