Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking entry-level Team Members in Nashville to perform prep, counter service, sanitation, and stocking duties. You will ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotation of prepared foods, follow recipes, and maintain clean, safe work areas while delivering friendly customer service daily.

The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety standards, with opportunities to participate in various trainings and store programs.

Qualifications

• Thorough product knowledge and ability to prep and stock per recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures production uses correct measuring devices and follows recipes.
• Helps customers understand differences between WFM products and conventional stores.
• Keeps walk-ins and freezers clean and organized.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales via proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation and safety procedures; maintains clean and safe work area.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate pricing and signage.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
