Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Chicago is seeking Team Members to handle preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking. • Thorough product knowledge.
• Ability to make an adequate number of recipes per shift based on batch size.

• Understands spoilage and supply waste and how it affects department profits.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed.
• Helps customers understand the difference between WFM products and products at conventional stores.
• Maintains walk-ins and freezers in clean and organized condition.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed and ready to work; works all shifts and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales by proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows and complies with procedures, including safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing signs are accurate.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
