Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New Jersey is seeking entry-level Team Members to support Prepared Foods with on-floor service, production, labeling, and stocking. You will help customers, maintain cold and dry storage areas, and ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards.

Frontline team members engage with customers, learn store programs, and participate in trainings. This role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and working a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Thorough product knowledge.
• Ability to prepare multiple recipes per shift based on batch sizes.
• Capable of communicating store programs and promotions to customers.
• Understanding of spoilage and proper food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures products are labeled, dated, initialed, covered and rotated.
• Maintains quality and proper preparation per WFM guidelines.
• Documents waste and spoilage using standard forms.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers with product questions.
• Maintains clean walk-in and freezer areas and keeps shelves organized.
• Reports safety hazards and maintains accurate signage and pricing.
