Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Oakland is hiring Team Members to handle preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking. You will ensure quality, label and rotate products, and assist customers while upholding health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include on-floor engagement, following SOPs, and supporting store programs. This role requires strong teamwork, flexible hours, and a proactive approach to customer service within a fast-paced natural foods environment.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures proper labeling, dating, dating-initialing, covering and rotation.
• Maintains product quality and adherence to recipes.
• Documents waste and spoilage using forms.
• Ensures accurate measuring devices and recipe compliance.
• Helps customers understand differences between WFM and conventional stores.
• Keeps walk-ins and freezers clean and organized.
• Reports safety hazards and supports on-floor operations.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
