Job summary

New Leaf Community Markets, Inc. is seeking a Prepared Foods Assistant Manager to partner with the Prepared Foods Manager in leading the department, coaching staff, controlling costs, and ensuring food safety and excellent customer service.

You will oversee scheduling, training, product presentation, inventory, and compliance with company policies while maintaining a positive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, retail or grocery management experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and shift tasks as priorities change.
• Strong customer service focus and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Prepared Foods Manager in managing and overseeing all department activities.
• Assists in staff scheduling, coaching, development and feedback.
• Maintains department conditions, merchandising standards and product availability.
• Ensures inventory levels support sales and margin goals.
• Oversees order writing and production scheduling aligned with department goals.
• Maintains professional vendor relationships and training of staff.
