Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a team member to handle purchasing, replenishment, and merchandising of prepared foods. You will monitor open PO reports, manage inventory, and ensure promotions and pricing are accurate while upholding safety standards.

In this role, you will collaborate with Kitchen Manager and Team Leader, support customer service, and help drive sales by accurate display and timely stocking in a fast-paced environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Extensive product knowledge and ability to negotiate price bids.
• Familiarity with nutritional information and prepared foods merchandising.
• Knowledge of margin programs and profitability.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge.
• Strong math and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes food for preparation through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with counter service and cooks as scheduled.
• Maintains positive working relationship with vendors.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
