Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a dynamic Team Member in Merchandising and Purchasing to support prepared foods products, manage inventory, and assist with promotional displays. You will work with Kitchen Managers and Team Leaders to optimize ordering, pricing, and inventory while maintaining health and safety standards.

The role requires 1+ year of buying/merchandising experience, strong math and computer skills, and a customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Buying/Merchandising experience.
• Ability to create and negotiate price bids.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes food for preparation through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with counter service and cooks as scheduled or as necessary.
• Maintains positive working relationships with vendors.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Maintains accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
