Job summary

La Madeleine in Austin is hiring for a Prep/Pastry Team member to assist in preparing ingredients and crafting signature pastries. The role emphasizes quality, consistency, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prep ingredients with care: measure, chop, and prepare fresh ingredients, sauces, and components for daily menu items.
Assist in crafting La Madeleine’s signature pastries and baked goods with precision and consistency.
Maintain quality and freshness by inspecting ingredients and finished items for high standards.
Follow recipes and standards: adhere to portioning, presentation, and storage guidelines for consistency.
Keep prep and pastry areas clean and organized; sanitize tools and follow safety procedures.
Collaborate with team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food preparation.
