Job Description

Your Mission: The Springs Resort and Spa is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all equipment and utensils are ready for use. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working behind the scenes, and take pride in organization, we’d love to have you on board!

Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
  • Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials.
Stock & Supply Management
  • Unload and store kitchen deliveries efficiently.
  • Ensure kitchen supplies are stocked and organized.
Basic Food Preparation
  • Assist chefs with peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure ingredients are stored and labeled properly.
Health & Safety
  • Follow food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Report maintenance issues or hazards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene (training provided if needed).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Primarily in a kitchen setting, often hot and humid.
