Job Description

The Springs Resort and Spa in Pagosa Springs, CO, is seeking a dedicated Prep/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specification, and maintaining a clean workstation. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, and have a passion for quality food.

Responsibilities
Prep Cook Duties
  • Wash, peel, chop, dice, and portion ingredients.
  • Prepare sauces, stocks, and fundamental components.
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients following FIFO principles.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas.
Line Cook Duties
  • Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Work efficiently at designated stations.
  • Keep workstation clean and organized.
  • Communicate with team members for smooth service.
  • Monitor food quality and adjust as needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
