Starbird Chicken is seeking a dedicated full-time Prep/ Line Cook for our Seattle, Washington location. This food service position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.30 to $24. We are committed to providing a professional food service environment where your skills in food preparation and hospitality are highly valued.

WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As a Prep/ Line Cook at Starbird Chicken, you will prepare food items with care and attention to detail while upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. You will maintain an organized work environment. You'll prepare delicious sandwiches and salads while also assisting with prep and overall kitchen operations. You will restock cook stations and keep them clean and organized, put away deliveries, and assist with any additional duties assigned.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A PREP/LINE COOK?

Schedule: This is a full-time role based in Seattle, WA. The schedule consists of consistent shifts that vary during business hours.

Requirements:

• Comfortable listening to and accommodating guests
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and always focus on the guest
• Ability to follow recipes and procedures to maintain food quality and consistency
• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures and all Starbird Chicken standards

Experience in a similar role is preferred.

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend and reach overhead often
• Must possess dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment
• Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold
• Must be comfortable working near open flames
• May be required to work in tight spaces
• Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision is required
• Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
