Job summary

Bodega Taqueria Y Tequila in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a dynamic Prep/Dish to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and execute all aspects of food production, follow recipes, and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with kitchen staff, assist with line prep, and help ensure timely delivery of dishes while upholding quality and safety standards. Evening and weekend availability is preferred to support service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Professional integrity and ability to work safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members during service.
• Assist team members as needed to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food.
• Keep managers informed of any issues or challenges encountered during daily operations and work together to find timely solutions.
• Prepare food items for the line as described by branded recipes and standards.
• Set up station with predetermined required items to service the restaurant.
• Operate a clean, high-functioning dishwashing station and handle equipment as described.
• Perform set up duties to include side stations, storage areas and food handling areas.
• Perform general cleaning tasks utilizing cleaning to adhere to health and safety standards.
