Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team in delivering restaurant-style dining for residents at our Virginia Beach location. You will prepare meals, ensure proper temperatures and plating, and interact with residents to enhance their dining experience.

Responsibilities include following menus and processes, maintaining records and cleanliness, and coordinating with the Kitchen Manager for tours and events. Full-time benefits and daily pay options are available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely at correct temperatures and properly plated.
• Follow Bickford’s dining service processes during service.
• Interact with residents to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes and cookware per procedures.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
• Use Meal Order Information to track diets, allergies, and preferences.
• Maintain food service records per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Store food per regulatory guidelines and policies.
• Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Maintain kitchen and dining areas to meet cleanliness standards.
• Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager for tours and events.
