Job summary

Sifted is hiring a Prep Cook in New York City to join a fast-paced, on-site kitchen environment. You will set up and sanitize stations, follow prep lists, measure ingredients, and support the team to ensure smooth service for client offices.

We value strong communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Compensation is $23 per hour with a ServSafe requirement and benefits including PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) after six months.

Qualifications

• Must maintain ServSafe Food Handler card (company-paid).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience in kitchen roles such as prep or dishwasher.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow daily prep lists.
• Measure ingredients and prepare cooking ingredients for use in cooking process.
• Maintain communication with executive chef and city manager.
• Keep station and work areas clean at all times.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork.
