Job Summary

The Prep Cook ensures high-quality food production, follows recipes precisely, maintains cleanliness, and collaborates effectively with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined in training manuals and employee handbook.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid food service permit.
  • Understand prep sheets, food handling, and allergen management.
  • Adhere to product shelf life and proper food storage regulations.
  • Manage station readiness, product utilization, and waste minimization.
  • Ensure food quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Record waste accurately and minimize it.
  • Prepare the station for expected business levels.
  • Practice 'clean as you go' techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
  • Use knives safely and correctly.
  • Operate equipment safely following all safety procedures.
  • Know all menu items prepared in the station.
  • Label and date all prepared food items.
  • Prepare the section to be ready at scheduled times.
  • Follow recipes precisely according to company standards.
  • Assist team members to ensure order accuracy and speed.
  • Engage positively with fans, coworkers, and managers.
  • Stay informed about company products, services, and promotions.
  • Follow supervisor directions and complete side work or cleaning as needed.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions.
  • Work various shifts, including late hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Manage time effectively and communicate well.
  • Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Previous culinary experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Legal age to work unrestricted hours as per local laws.
