Job summary

United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is seeking a dedicated kitchen/ dining services associate at the Lake Placid Training Center. You will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support chefs during service, ensuring safety and high standards of sanitation.

You will follow HACCP/OSHA guidelines, train new staff, and actively participate in team briefings. This full-time role requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to World Class service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Reliable transport to work.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in cleaning and maintaining a professional kitchen.
• Food production and handling knowledge a plus.
• Know-how of chemicals; follow OSHA regulations.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and utensils.

Responsibilities

• Assist by prepping produce and salad bar items as directed by chefs.
• Follow standards for food production and handling; adhere to rotation.
• Maintain food safety through holding temps and logging.
• Report maintenance and equipment issues to chefs.
• Train and assist new staff on equipment use.
• Operate dishwasher efficiently and keep it clean.
• Ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and dining areas at end of shift.
• Keep dining areas and stock areas neat and clean.
• Follow HACCP, OSHA, and department policies.
• Attend daily team briefings and participate in continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate professional demeanor and punctuality.
• Build positive relationships within the Food & Nutrition team.
• Support LP Dining Services’ World Class Service goals.
