Job summary

Ēma Austin is hiring Prep Cooks to support the kitchen at The Domain NORTHSIDE. You will assist in preparation and production of ready-to-use foods, garnishes, and condiments for the line and service.

The role offers varied hours, including weekends, and requires strong safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment while following prescribed recipes and portion controls.

Qualifications

• Prepare ingredients and items per recipes and prescribed requests
• Available to work a variety of hours, including weekends
• Safely and effectively use and operate knives and other kitchen tools
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken directions to follow job requirements
• Ability to multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
• Stand and move in a kitchen with variable noise and temperature; lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed portioning controls and par levels
• Maintain food safety and quality standards
• Read a thermometer accurately and efficiently
• Communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
• Accurately account for all items leaving the kitchen
• Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and employment policies
• Be a cooperative team player and get along with others
• Perform other duties as needed
