Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1–2 years experience as a cook's apprentice preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, finish, and garnish all food in kitchen according to established recipes.
• Work as a team with line cooks, dishwashers, supervisors, chefs, servers, and others to run a smooth operation on a scheduled shift.
• Follow all recipes and control procedures.
• Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
• Keep a clean and sanitary area at all times in compliance with state health regulations.
• Prepare salads, dressings, canapés, and other cold dishes.
• Prepare sandwiches on short order or in quantities.
• Maintain coffee and tea supplies throughout the shift.
