Job summary

CC Holdings, Inc. is seeking friendly, motivated prep cooks for the IGC Cafe in the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis. Roles include full-time and part-time prep cook positions with shifts 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Starting pay is up to $16.00 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include food prep, quality control, safety, sanitation, and assisting in other kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to grooming standards.
• Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows portion control and presentation specifications as set by the café.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
• Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in kitchen.
• Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures.
• Work at efficient and consistent pace.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Has the ability to deal with changes.
• Willingness to assist in other tasks when asked.
• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to cafeteria stations and grab n go for preparation of meals and ingredients.
• Assemble produce, cook/heat product, chop, dice, pack and label produces front and back of house.
• Ensure quality and safety of food by maintaining sanitation and food handling standards.
• Restock and organize station and supplies during shift.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and equipment.
• Work at a fast, efficient, and consistent pace to meet service demands.

Full-time & Part-time prep cook positions are now being filled at our IGC Cafe located in the Indiana Government Center. Shifts available Monday - Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm (shifts vary).

The prep cook is responsible for providing support to cafeteria stations and grab n go for preparation of meals and ingredients. Assembling produce, cooking/heating of product, chopping, dicing, packing and labeling of produces both front of house & back of house. The prep cook is responsible for quality control, food safety and sanitation. Starting rate up to $16.00 an hour!
